Work for America (WFA), in partnership with the National Governors Association (NGA), National League of Cities (NLC), and National Association of Counties (NACo), convened 60+ organizations for “Powering Public Service,” a full-day event dedicated to addressing staffing challenges in local and state governments.

The convening brought together public sector leaders, researchers, funders and nonprofit innovators to collaborate on a field-level playbook for tackling workforce challenges and to brainstorm a few “big ideas” for transforming public sector staffing over the next three to five years.
